Fuels
Current fuel research is shifting from conventional fossil feedstocks to sustainable alternatives, including advanced biofuels, synthetic e-fuels, and waste-derived oils. Our scientific work is concentrated on the molecular characterization of fuels and the upgrading of waste-derived oils into fuels that meet conventional specifications. Our primary objective is to integrate these low-carbon alternatives into existing infrastructure while significantly mitigating global greenhouse gas emissions.
Ongoing research
Marine fuel and SAF from wet biomass
